Our curriculum ‘progression grids’ for Key Stage 3 provide key information on the structure of our curriculum. Each subject document defines the ‘expected’ level for each year group and defines how our curriculum progresses and becomes more challenging over time.

Each progression grid identifies subject specific concepts and identifies the knowledge pupils will acquire and apply over their Key Stage 3 Curriculum. Each subject concept has been mapped out and sequenced from our students’ entry point at the end of Key Stage 2 to their exit point at the end of Key Stage 3. Each progression grid also identifies our ‘Personal Development Golden Thread’, communicating how personal development is mapped and sequenced throughout the curriculum and how our curriculum goes beyond the academic to nurture the whole child.
